Local transcription

The Local Call Transcription module automatically converts phone call recordings into text. Completed transcripts are saved in MikoPBX and are available directly in call cards.

If a call is recorded in stereo, the module processes the audio channels separately and formats the result as a dialogue between the employee and the customer. Each utterance is linked to the corresponding recording segment, making it easy to find and review the relevant part of the conversation.

Call transcripts help you:

  • quickly check a name, address, order number, or other information from a conversation;
  • review the content of a call without listening to the entire recording again;
  • read each participant's remarks in sequence;
  • save the content of conversations in a convenient text format;
  • prepare transcripts for use in other MikoPBX modules.

The module interface lets you view completed transcripts, monitor the processing queue, and check the status of connected processing workers.

Administrators can select a speech recognition model, specify the language of conversations, limit the maximum duration of recordings to be processed, and add a custom dictionary. The dictionary can include company names, product names, surnames, and industry terms that need to be recognized accurately.

Speech recognition runs on a separate computer. Recordings are transferred only between MikoPBX and the local processing worker, and the resulting text is returned to the PBX. There is no need to send audio files to external speech recognition services.
